What about this idea?
I have always thought it would revolutionize the industry if anyone put this idea into action... You put your song in to the kj and then you walk into a booth, put on a set of headphones, and when you hear the music through them it is the real thing that you hear on the radio. The difference is that...

Wiseguy, you are right on with the last post. Either you keep up or you lose out. I understand that the music industry feels they are being ripped off, but as so many others I think it is more the other way around. It is hard to feel sorry for a company that grosses billions.I do not use the illegal...

Our show is pretty laid back bigdog, so we just restart the song for them and ask them to try again. And we joke about how it was all our fault. I see from all of your posts that you are pretty tight with what you do. We arent. But we don't play to crowds of hundreds either. While we have had as man...

Since we use the computer format, we have the background music on the hard drive, so in between we play some and like you said before we start we play some rock and country. I never had a problem with the in between stuff, in fact the best show I was ever at the lady had a 5 disc player that she loa...

I will agree with that wiseguy. But I am talking about in general. We play a variety of music when there are no singers, and that wasn't what i am referring to. I just mean that when you have a bunch of singers it is very irritating to them to have to sit through a dance set to cater to a dance crow...

As a karaoke singer, I find that most kjs do a good job of doing their rotation properly. What I always found and still find are the places where they advertise karaoke and then do a round of singers and then a half dozen dance songs. I have been told that it is to make everyone happy. I contend tha...

I hope I am not out of line to add my thoughts to your thread. I am a relatively new karaoke company, but have been singing karaoke for years. I make it a point to make sure my music is all legitimate. I do not play anyone else's music whether burned or not, as I do not have a cdg player. I use a ho...

Thanks, I keep all my music stored on the external hard drive and do not use the cds. I copy the music from the cd, they come out pretty good but they some times need edited, so I use the edit cd program and then I run the show from the computer. I find this much easier. I will check out the sites y...

Hey folks, I am new here as well, cool site as far as I can tell. I should be back here often. I do have a big question. I am using all computer equipment and use no cds in my show. I use mostly chartbuster music (about 3500 different songs so far) and they are all stored on my external hard drive. ...
