Bigdog if YOU can listen to the music and hear the vocals then it should be possible for software to be able to remove it. A likely candidate may be noise canceling technology used in headphones. Someone will eventually do it I'm confident but someone with the ability to do it will just have to take...

I like Sound Choice as they are VERY PROMPT in getting the package to your door and their music seems to me to be a more accurate rendition of the real song.

So is there nothing reasonably priced to do a pretty good job? I purchased Compuhost and was hoping it would do it but it wasn't a necessity.

Almost forgat about the stagepass systems had a 300 version and loved it. The 500 is much better with onboard compression. It would take care of your mixer/amp and speakers needs in one fell swoop. I just read where Compuhost has a built in compressor function. Dan don't you use Compuhost? If so ha...

I'm getting the Peavey Impulse 1015's in Black for $459 ea. including 25' cables with a Peavey powered mixer, XR8600 600W per channel, two channels. The setup sounds pretty awesome compared to all the stuff I've listened to. Has several inputs with a 7 band Eq for each output channel. I tried out Ma...

I only want the one that sounds as close as possible to the one I heard on the radio. Precisely! Re listening to the version before I order, I tried to listen to one today on Sweet Georgia Brown I think it was, and didn't see where I could. That along with what appeared to be a very good price and ...

Anyone got any updates to this? I just purchased an "All Star Karaoke" disc to get some Marshall Tucker songs and I'm returning it. Where MTB uses a flute, their version used a trumpet or something like that. It sounded unbelievably amateurish, just awful, So I went online and saw Sweet Ge...

Well wiseguy I'm not yet but just ordered Compuhost with a built in ripper. I hope it does all I need without getting a separate ripper.

Wow you guys are so helpful. I love this site!

Didn't know Karma could play filler music but had read that Compuhost did. And thanks DanG for your comment about the ripping ability of Compuhost. I was leaning in that direction but didn't know it was built in. Sandy my comment about the filler music app "being built in" was referring to...

Ok I know this is an older thread but I have a question about dvg's. If I can rip a cdg and get both the video clip and the mp3 file, does that mean the drive will work with a ripper? I can't make a copy of the dvg but I can rip the two sets of files off the disc.

Re Siglos, Sandy I tried the free download and didn't like it either. I had some CDG's I had ripped using Mediaplayer but it wouldn't play them, probably because I don't know what I'm doing as far as ripping CDG's! Also one of the many screens kept popping up while I was doing other things which was...

Newb overwhelmed with software options

I'm trying to select a software for my home use with having friends over. I'd like to have a KJ quality software to keep up with several singers and their history maybe? but really would like one that I don't need to take a course on how to use it! I've read your suggestions on various threads and h...
