I'm in a college town about a hundred miles from Houston, Texas. Karaoke is good here but not much room for competition. The company I started has the best venues in town. I left that company to start another and it's a bit of a challenge. I've got four shows a week but they are hit or miss dependin...

All that aside, I know exactly what you mean when you talk about getting mad at unfair rotations. There was another karaoke company here in town and they had about 7 people "working" for them. These people were singing every other song. Man, that really made a lot of people mad. We ended u...

I appreciate your prompt reply an retraction. It did come off a little bit offensive. I work very hard to ensure that my guests have a fantastic time at my show. I have been utilizing this system for over two years and I have had very few complaints. No system works perfectly. I realize there might ...

By the way, wiseguy, I've been in the karaoke world for a little over 15 years now. based on what I've read from your posts I have to say that, from a customer's perspective I would consider you to be a very strict host who doesn't flex and I would go on down the road to someone else's show who seem...

Thanks for the tip. By the way, when was the last time you came to my show? I sure wish you would have said hello. It would have been nice to know who's coming in telling me my rotation is unfair.... or maybe you just think you know all about my rotation based on what you read in these few posts. I ...

Actually, i'm considering going back to slips. It does take away from the attention I should be giving to the singer. The singers don't actually get to sing two songs in a row, although I've been to places where some singers get to sing three in a row. What i mean is, your name can be on the list mo...

The members of the media who come in don't come in often so it's no sweat to move them up the list as it only happens every once in a while. I use roxbox (soon to switch to compuhost) so there is no need for sign up slips. They just tell me what they want to sing and I put them on the list. With com...

Sometimes I get a long list of singers. When I'm up over 20 people I will throw a random song up and ask for one person who wants to sing right now. I usually get about 6 people running to the stage. The first one to the stage gets to sing the song. This works because instead of people just sitting ...

I simply don't add "new" singers into my rotation. Everyone gets the same attention. It doesn't matter if you just walked in or if you've been there all night. My guests get listed as they sign up. They only get one song per rotation and it seems to work pretty well. I do give special cons...
