I'm curious why you're not able to load the songs. I run mine on Vista with no issues at all. I had it on XP previously until my laptop bit the dust and I had to get a new one with Vista pre-loaded. You didn't say if your current system is computer or disc based. I'm assuming computer based so I'd vote to keep it consistent. Why mix the two? I think the computer stuff is pretty easy to use, just give her good directions to follow for getting it up and running and she should do fine.
