powerkaraoke , Boy you are all over the karaoke forums. I would like to see something like Consumer Reports type factual comparison of karaoke creating software. I'm sure there are some out there that are just as good or better, and cheaper. Although I give them credit, that not many are in fact ch...

Try PowerKaraoke -- it is a CD+G making software. If you need video karaoke, try Power Video Karaoke. And both of them will convert MIDI karaoke into CD+G or video karaoke. Been there, done that. (Boy that saying is old) I tried the demo d/l, and I like it up until the part I tried to burn it to cd...

I ripped the mp3 straight from the disc. So, are you removing the lead vocals from the track with some software? I know from experience that this does not work well with most songs. Well actually, all I have been trying to do is take the song and synchronize lyrics to it and burn it to disc to play...

Actually, it uses midi and mp3 files. I, personally am using mp3. Two questions. What is the name of the song you are wanting to make into a karaoke track? Do you have a good mp3 backing track for the song? The song is Korn- Hollow Life. I ripped the mp3 straight from the disc. There are quite a fe...

Where is everyone?
I noticed (and I'm sad to say) there are 439 (give or take a few) members in this forum since late 2004. Most posts on here were last written in July. Some other forums have at least 40 new posts a day. I think we need to step up the pace and maybe have question of the week or day, just something. M...

I hate seeing someone (who can't sing) win because of a few points awarded from them having a few more friends in the audience or because they danced around on the stage. Oh, that is a beauty of a point. All of the ones I have been to were all in fun with the exeption of one. It was a city wide 3 m...

I have been having a problem getting in to this forum. I registered, confirmed registration, got in the first time, but the next day I got an error message saying either my log on name wasn't right or my password wasn't right, or basically I was locked out. So, I had to go through the "I forgot...

.kar files to cd+g
I just downloaded a free software to practice my karaoke-ing (is that a word) on my pc and I started wondering. I want to make a song I know into a karaoke track. The program saves the files as .kar files. Now, this song I want to do isn't on any karaoke disc as of yet that I can find (and I have lo...

karaoke creating software
I've found the "Karaoke Home Producer" by www.mtu.com to be the easiest to use CDG authoring software. Simply create the backing track in wav file format, import a text file with the lyrics, and then sync the lyrics with the music in real time. With just a little practice you can produce ...
