Re: Karaoke On PC With Karafun, How?

. mr.dj , why do you think that wouldn't work? I just want to be able to sing. I don't need to record my voice or the performance or hear my own voice coming out of the speakers. I just want Karaoke PC software to be able to recognize my voice. Well I was waiting for a response from Dan as he might...

Re: Karaoke On PC With Karafun, How?

I am assuming that you have USB ports. For about $150 you can get a dual wireless handheld mic systems that you can plug the receiver into the USB port of your computer. I have the single mic version and it sounds good. You can get it at Sweetwater.com it's the Behringer Ultralink ULM200USB. I have...

Re: New mics

If your talking about the Ultralink mic from behringer I have one but rarely use it with my mixer. It's Ok plugged directly into the computer for recording though. If I remember right you need to raise the volume on the mic by repeatedly pressing the up volume, I don't think Just keeping the volume ...

Re: Adding Karaoke to existing Home Theater Equipment

That's a hard question, for various reasons. if its in your home do you need something to be in keeping with your décor or will they only be brought out for karaoke use ? Most PA speakers are basically black boxes and not pleasing looking furniture. The other thing is your budget. My suggestion woul...

Re: Adding Karaoke to existing Home Theater Equipment

It is generally recommended not to use Home theatre Speakers for Karaoke as the signal from microphones can damage them. It depends how loud you might sing, in the party atmosphere you might easily overload them. I would recommend getting an Active PA Speaker setup solely for your karaoke. Active sp...

Re: What do I need for a basic karaoke system?

My question is very basic. Could you pls help me? I want to sing karaoke on my television. I found that there are some streaming karaoke apps that can be played on my television. So is this enough: A mixer like Allen & Heath ZED-10FX or Mackie 402VLZ4 A wireless microphone A pair of powered (ac...

Re: How many of you compress???

With regards to keeping the music volume even I use Breakaway audio enhancer. http://www.claessonedwards.com/bap_win.htm

As some music is recorded louder than others this evens out in real time any fluctuations in volume so I rarely have to adjust that at all, I only use the compressor for the mics.

Re: Amazon Fire Tablet 8"

Mixers usually have a record out connection, just run the mix from that to a recording source.
You might be better of using a computer with Siglos Karaoke Player/Recorder. Try the free trial here: http://www.powerkaraoke.com/src/prod_si ... corder.php

Re: Amazon Fire Tablet 8"

I doubt it, for what purpose, to sing live or record ? I would think a small mixer would be your best bet. Or for live sound on a tight budget perhaps this portable PA with its own mixer for mic & tablet: http://www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Loudspeaker-Systems/Portable-Speakers/B205D...

Re: behringer 1202fx mixer

I confirm Paradigm settings. My own Behringer mixer is a completely different set up and allows me to set the delay and reverb separately so cant say exactly how yours would compare but 88-89 looks good. I think you need to experiment and record yourself with different settings to see what you like ...

Re: How many of you compress???

I just use the single knob compressor on my mixer for the four mic inputs, it basically cuts the screamers so saving my ears as well as my speakers. It also seems to raise the whisperers a bit. One thing I do notice though if no one is singing and I forget to lower the mic volume with all four mics ...
