Dan is right on with Siglos, it does everything other software does and then some, plus it is more customizable and configurable than the rest. been using it for almost a decade.

the pad makes a big difference, but i don't see them going and adding it to a home unit (VHF is not really used in pro applications). you have a better set anyway with the 788, mulitple frequencies and UHF.

for home, the L1 may be better than the F1.

the exception is that home stereo equipment is not made to work with live vocals. over the years waaaayyyy too many people have blown their regular or even super audiophile home stereo systems just by singing through them a bit too loud or one accidental drop of the mic.

i compress all vocals, for both protection of equipment, and for the sound that it gives with dynamic control. i do not compress the music at all since the studio compressed it for me already before burning it to disc or MP3 compressing the vocals also helps them sit in the mix better since they sou...

they all have demo's, try them all and see which you like. i prefer Siglos myself but i like to customize everything about my shows. you will find the one that fits your style the best.
