Re: Affordable wireless microphones that don't drop signal
the GTD's are definately the best of the group. many hosts have replaces their 58's with them hardly a noticeable difference. the 787h is a great quad system, but if you have issue with mics getting dropped, the Sennheiser will be much cheaper in the long run being metal instead of plastic. i have h...

Re: New KJ, I have some questions
a few things are not being completely understood... first the law, sb1070 is not to stop cops from pulling over hispanics. i am required by federal law to have id proving who i am and my eligibility to be here (read your SS card or drivers license, both say that it must be presented upon demand). if...

More mexican immigrants have left the country than have entered the country since Obama took office... that is a fact . Illegal border crossings are at lowest levels in 40 years... that is a fact . hard for me to agree....i live in AZ and it is getting worse all the time, not better. the fact is th...

Re: Computer vs Disc Player Poll
whats funny is it is actually the other way around here. the older generation are great at using the kiosk and smartphone apps, but the younger generations (25-35) have dumb phones and are lost at a laptop. i kinda like watching the 73 year old great grandma come up to show the young idiots how to t...

Re: Echo
1) i use Siglos and it is fairly simple, what exactly are you having questions on? 2) the noise is a combination of the cheap cables, the low end amplifier, and mismatch on power (the amp is 1/3 what it needs to be for those speakers.) and the signal to noise ratio is VERRRRY high (84dB) so it makes...

Re: Karaoke mixer?
it is not an analog or digital issue, it is the analog to digital CONVERTER. the one in the onboard soundcard on the computer is a lower quality than the one in the mixer. so yes, the signal will be converted to analog either way, but the mixer has a better converter to do so. it means much more in ...

Re: Asian karaoke lounge - licensing question
yes, you need to pay ASCAP, SESAC, and BMI for this. the company providing the content pays the karaoke manufacturers (provided they are ALL overseas providers and not Sound Choice, Chartbusters, Pop Hits Monthly, All Star, Party Tyme) but the music rights holders in the U.S. want their cut. this is...

lets start at the beginning, what do you have for equipment and what do you have for a library. from there we can start to guide you, but knowing nothing we are a bit stuck.

Re: Is there a Software Program that allows you to add a song from a singer's CD or Flash Drive?
Hoster is a great program, just missing features for me. don't use disc ripping, have used Audiograbber for years and not one issue (hoster's ripper won't allow my naming convention anyway) songbook creator, havent used a songbook in years either, Songbookdb is awesome. (won't use the integrated sbd...

that unit does not have mic capability, you can not use the "effector" on the mic with that.

not arguing Wise, but what features does Hoster have that Siglos does not?
and for the record, SongbookDB is a great service. have been using it for years and love it.

Re: All in one system vs component
that will definately do fine. the only other things i might suggest would be for mics, 2 decent mics and cables (not super pro, but not garbage) will run about $200, these mics are a great product for the money and better than any wired mics in this low/mid price point. http://www.amazon.com/GTD-Aud...

as far as a player, most laptops can play cd+g just fine. you may not need a "player" per say.

Re: Speaker and Mixer Recommendations
you will get better sound from the Behringer board and Yamaha speakers. Samson is ok, Sam Ash house brand, Seismic has made huge strides in the last few years in quality and sound, but neither is up to the Yamahas.
