No difference between the speakers except for size and weight.

Re: Newbie here, need some help.
Something like this set up?? Maybe with different mics? https://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/yamaha-complete-pa-package-with-mg12xuk-mixer-and-alto-ts3-speakers/l35841000001000?rNtt=Alto Professional TS308 &index=3 That looks like a great package. You can start out with the mics for now an...

Re: Newbie here, need some help.
How big of a room are we talking? I personally use Alto Professional TS308 speakers which are light but pack a lot of punch. I would put them up against any Behringer 15" speakers and they would hold their own. 2000 watts . Huge bass response. Highly recommend them. If you don't need that kind ...

Re: Newbie here, need some help.
As long as you and your guests maintain the awareness that the ulm mics buttons are very sensitive. Hold down the down button for a few seconds and it will mute the mics. Otherwise they sound great. Instead of the USB mics, you might want the ones with mic at the end of the model number because you ...

How long does it take to figure out that a venue is not going to fit
I just walked out of a weekly gig because it wasn't a good fit with me. yeah I know. Adjust to the circumstances but what if those circumstances require a total switch of character that you're not really interested in making. Part of it was it was the second smallest room that I have ever worked in....

Re: One more piece of equipment
Ok. Had some headaches with the new laptop but I think that I got that ironed out. In October I plan on replacing my Behringer RX1202FX with an Alesis mixer which is close to the RX1202FX with the exception of not having effects built in. But I have an external effects processor that includes compre...

Re: VirtualDJ
Well, got a gig, found a side software that I tried out that puts away the issue of what if a singer doesn't have a smartphone but because someone has hacked my old debit card, I can't make the initial payment before next month and I don't want to give my singers one method of putting in their reque...

Re: VirtualDJ
Went with DEX 3 Pro. No brainer. Everything in one software, basic rotation, can enter more than one song per singer without having to move every singer in the playlist everytime you add a song to an existing singer. Only singer that you have to move in the playlist is a new singer. Plays all my vid...

Re: One more piece of equipment
Turns out that the mixer is fine, it was the laptop that was messed up.
Getting a Leveno laptop with AMD processor and video card. Should actually work with Compuhost.

Re: One more piece of equipment
Ok the mixer that I received was defective. Trying to figure out whether or not to just exchange it for another of the same mixer or go with a totally different one.

Re: Which amplifier?
I wouldn't get either. Get an audio system that is designed for live vocals or You are going to be spending more money replacing the speakers that you keep blowing.

Re: Wireless mic+mixer "all in one"
My biggest issue is if the mic or receiver part breaks then what? Better a separate wireless mic system and mixer.

Re: One more piece of equipment
Well 2 things sent me back to the original choice. 1 the area where the inputs and outputs was raised so high that I couldn't close the lid over it while I had the laptop shelf attached and 2 once I replaced the mixer with my old analog mixer and effects unit and could close the lid, it turned out t...
