...So she wouldn't be covered under the actual franchise owner's agreement for the radio station and televisions? This is an interesting question. When you say original franchise owner, do you mean the company who holds legal rights to franchise the name out, or a previous individual who originaly ...

I've never decided to go to a new karaoke venue because of the equipment they may, or may not, have. But I have decided not to go back because the equipment didn't sound right or the rotation wasn't what I considered fair. Exactly. For the most part, the Singer only knows whether he/she likes what ...

I learned early on that potential clients aren’t necessarily interested in what you have, or how big it is. They’re more interested in how you use it to their advantage. And in that, is where your sales pitch lies. 8)

In the case of the six freeloading teens, I would have informed the management not only of their conduct, but how their behavior affected the rest of the paying customers. To put myself in management’s position, I would have told them to leave if they weren’t spending money. If they’re not supportin...

And your finished file quality doesn't degrade as a result?

17 seconds to rip a four minute song to an MP3+G with Power CD+G Burner. So we're talking under three minutes to rip a ten song disc. I then transfer the files to my laptop. Now that's an upload speed I can tolerate. May I ask what file format you're uploading to; as well as the speed (i.e.1X, 24X,...

Keep in mind that on some drives, Plextor especially, The faster you rip the poorer the quality of the rip. Yes I read that in the manual. With the exception of trying one disc @24x, for comparison purposes, I have used the "Optimum" setting form the rest. No difference in uploading speed...

Yes, I'm thinking that I have to look up the specs on my current drive and research which drives are faster. Right now Plextor comes to mind.

Thanks again Dan :)

I asked this on another forum but didn't get a response there yet. And just incase ther is someone who might know I'll ask here as well.. I know each disc will be slightly different depending on the length of its songs, but how long (on average) has it taken any of you who use CDG Ripper to upload o...

Sounds like the hub is 1.1 complient and not 2.0. try connecting your usb drive into the usb port in your computer. try disabling the camera. You don't need it to run shows with anyway. To avoid confusion between my external sound card I disabled my internal so that only the external works. Thanks ...

Configure LapTop For CompuHost

This is addressed to those of you who would consider themselves accomplished users of this program (or at least have some experience in the following problem areas). My LapTop is a DELL Inspiron with Vista and 2GB Ram. It's 1.5 years old and I just took it out of the box to use it for my show. Now I...

They better start at the front of my book, or they'll miss the latest additions. I also have a sign posted with the books explaining where the slips and pens are ("IN THE BOOK") but they still grab the extras I have laying out for the singers who bring their own discs.

OK but...my sound..... music and vocals goes through the same 31 band EQ out of the mixer. If I start dropping the freqencies to fix the mic rumble, I'll be affecting the sound of the music too. Assuming that you are using separate channels for music and each mic, I suggest cutting the low end on y...

Crown Audio seems to have some good info with respect to Amp vs. Speaker.

And this site here seems to have quite a tutorial on sound re-enforcement
