From my understanding it is going to get real hard to find anything with a attached cord. some law suit against a company some one tripped on the cord. this way it should just pull out.

i had the problem on my amp where the plug would come loose i just finally used some cardboard and made it fit tight and then super glued it.

i see what you are saying bigdog but i am looking at is as more a advertising device. some of my patrons said i should they would like to go on it and find out where i am playing and see pics and stuff like that. i have had the same problem and your are doing the same solution i did it worked well i have only replaced i think about a tenth as many plugs since. Like you said cheap foreign crap.
