Re: Found a better answer for you tube karaoke fans

Seems a backward step to me, what about all those songs you converted to video format before because you think it a superior fotmat?
Now your have to tell them you have an inferior software that won't play video rather than just say my policy is to not show YouTube content.???

Re: I am done. No more equipment.

I don't think you can beat the simplicity of the analogue mixers for karaoke. I have Behringer QX1222USB all knobs and sliders directly on view for each channel no delving through menus, no lag controlling. Quick easy to adjust for each singer if necessary. I tried a couple of digital mixers did not...

Re: Going totally digital sort of

Hope it works out ok for you.
I did think of using the QSC Touchmix at one time but decided I like actual knobs and sliders without menus to get to things myself.
Keep us updated as if you find it beneficial.

Re: Going totally digital sort of

Will you be controlling the XR12 mixer with the same computer your hosting software is on or via a tablet ?

Re: Going totally digital sort of

Yea, it works quite well, not too many steps to set up.
I already have the Power Video Creator software which I use to place the lyrics over original videos. The cdg to mp4 converter is simpler and quicker to use just a bit less customisable.
I purchased a copy for myself still playing around with it.

Re: Going totally digital sort of

I see an improvement in battery life quoted in those mics over the previous model.
Seems a monumental task though to convert all your existing library. I'll have to trial Power cdg to mp4 for myself, it's not a bad price.

Re: Going totally digital sort of

What is the mic system you just got ?
How are you turning all your songs to HD ?

.PLX file ?

Downloaded a music track from from Selectatrack via PCDJ Karaoki the other day, it is in a standard zip format containing the two files mp3 and cdg. Nothing wrong with the file plays perfect. But it also has another 1kb file with it with the same name but with a .PLX extension. MS27822 - Michael Bub...

Re: Windows no longer the only game in town for Karaoke Hosts

Yes it's simpler but not very customisable.
it only prints as a single column and no song or disc id's should you prefer them.

Another thing with Hoster is you can select to print from a certain date range which is handy for tagging the extra pages of songs purchased since printing the full book.

Re: Ran my first show with the new system

Tried and abandoned the blue tooth connection myself. I think it must be the amount of bodies in the room that effects it.
Hope it all goes well for you at the new bar.

Re: Windows no longer the only game in town for Karaoke Hosts

I think it's related to the screen resolution and the scale you set. I was only seeing 6 rows with 1366x768 display with 125% scale setting.
I changed those settings to 1920 X 1080 at 125% and get 11 rows.
Paradigm, what are your display settings ?

Re: Songs not indexing correctly

The ._ files are hidden files created by a Mac operating system, I think they contain meta data.
What computer operating system do you have, Windows or Mac ?
If you have Windows explorer see if they show when set to show hidden files, if so delete them.

Surprised you don't have all your music on a backup drive.

Re: Call me a woman (new system)

I don't know why you converted them to kma in the first place. Hoster would have imported them ok as mp3+g or zip format or most other formats.

Re: New Bose t8s mixer

I've reverted back to my analogue Behringer QX1222usb mixer after all. Things I didn't like about the Tonematch T8 1: To use it as stereo output you either have to use the main output knob to adjust the volume which means it is also adjusting the mic outputs. Alternately the way I configured it was ...
