Re: Licensing - YouTube karaoke channel looking to expand on more platforms
considering they are asian karaoke spots, i would guess those large numbers are also a TON of foreign language karaoke.

Re: Home Karaoke PA advice
Best Buy does not sell that particular mixer and he asked specifically for Best Buy suggestions. otherwise i would agree with you on that being a nice mixer.

Re: Home Karaoke PA advice
if you can, (never tried it at best buy) go listen to them. but if not, at home a pair of the B12D's would be fine. the Yamaha is nice, but if you want any more later you are kind of stuck. you do need zome sort of mixer otherwise you will be changing the speaker setting every song. there is a Behri...

Re: User manual SoundLab Fission
it is not actually by Studiomaster, it is a knock off of the Studiomaster Fusion. that being said, as it is a total knockoff, the Studiomaster manual will give you the same information (specs like THD and S/N ratio will be different, but all the "what does this do" things will be the same)...

Re: Karaoke mixer?
i agree with Wiseguy. first, vocopro is junk. you will end up paying more and getting lees along with lower quality. both Yamaha and Behringer are making very good boards (never thought i would say that about Behringer, but this latest incarnation of their Xenyx line really are great) and will give ...

Re: Licensing - YouTube karaoke channel looking to expand on more platforms
the licenses are the tough part. first you need the mechanical license for the music from the publisher then you need a lyric reprint license from the lyric owner(s) of those rights then you need a sync license from both the music owners (publishers) and from the lyric owner(s) then the fixing licen...

Re: New mike addition
i have always had good luck with Presonus. the tubeamp v2 is a great small format pre and it's only $125 or so.
it's not an Avalon, but it's not Avalon prices either.

Re: New mike addition
nice mic, just don't forget to pick up an external preamp for it. the output is low and is designed to go into a nice preamp before the board.

Re: Seeking Advice on Library/Software, etc.
i don;t play dj sets like you are describing, but i use filler music to keep something going in the background (i keep mine at 40% volume and karaoke at 100%)while i'm talking, like every DJ live, radio, or TV does. do what works for you but to me when i experience no filler it seems extrememly unpr...

Re: Seeking Advice on Library/Software, etc.
exactly, the only thing the singer ever sees on the tv is the lyrics. i buy songs while the singer is singing all the time. to go to the second screen you have to specifically tell something to go there, by default, it will ony go to screen 1.

Re: Seeking Advice on Library/Software, etc.
you could buy the same songs with compuhost.
i use siglos and the songs are bought, imported, and loaded before the current singer is finished.
i agree, it has made a diference when others wont or cant buy a song on the fly.

Re: Seeking Advice on Library/Software, etc.
justkaraoke only goes to the tricerasoft library and you can acces that without their special player. but i would avoid that link above, it goes to some pirate site where you can get 300,000 songs for $67.00
but i buy from Tricerasoft all the time and agree with the advice of going that route.
