I still have to agree with Gregory on this subject. I do not insert new singers between old singers. New singers go to the back of the rotation, period. As a singer, I like to know who I am following. As a KJ, I like my singers to know who they are following. It cuts down on the amount of times I am...

SBI Karaoke is another place that will make custom discs from a variety of manufactures. From what I understand, their customer service can't be beat and the price is very reasonable. I believe it was around $30 for a disc with 15 songs.

As a singer I hate it when new people are put in between people rather than at the end. I stopped going to a show for this very reason. Hubby and I walk in together, and will walk out together. I don't want our songs to be 15 - 20 minutes apart. This is especially true of a week-day show. Hubby has ...

I'm doing a 16th birthday party next week. I'm actually thinking about doing some games during the party. We'll have to see how it goes.

I'd like to bring up a couple of points. My show starts timely every week. If there are no singers, I sing. It's a good time to practice for me. However, the KJ at the bar I go to will not start his show until he has at least three or four singers. His show is supposed to start at 9; there have been...

I have to agree with most of the posters. The person who puts the song in first is the person it is "reserved" for. If they change their mind, I ask the second person who requested it if they would still like to sing it. However, if the first person who signed up for the song is a regular ...

Karaoke Bingo is a game that involves the whole crowd. All players get a card that looks like a regular bingo card but instead of having numbers and letters it has genres and artists & part of a song title. This is a long game and can take up to 3hr to play depending on how may rows you have and...

I have more information now; hubby booked this party.

Apparently it is a private birthday party for a young adult at a private residence. She said they want all karaoke, no DJing.

Supposedly Still Life Projector has toured the US and Australia.

I'd never heard of them either, but it's not my kind of music. Didn't help that he was in there scrounging for a meal and gas money. Must not be overly succesful.

This is why one should read the manual before using a product! I have ripped with Power Karaoke ... never knew it could access a database. Even if there are mistakes in the database, it would still save some typing. As long as a person reviews the track names and compares them with what...
