Re: New setup
No way that laptop is going to even work with the hard drive. Too old. I suggest looking at a newer laptop. If it's from the company that I think it is then the software that came with it was obsolete as well. I believe that it was JustKaraoke 2. The number of files would require a lot faster databa...

I believe that I may have new life as a host
I plan on pitching a new strategy for payment as well as utilizing a couple of things that would help prevent singers from getting sick. I also plan on getting all my requests via Remote Requests to prevent me from getting sick. I personally believe that the safest way to prevent my singers from get...

Re: Retired from karaoke itself
As to the mic situation there are several solutions to that. 1, change what type of mics that you use ie. Boundary mics, selling windscreens to singers, sanitizing them after use whether or not it's wipes or a uv light box.

Re: Retired from karaoke itself
In today's world of pandemic one may have to do away with old school ways of taking requests unless you want to catch the virus. I am going to only get my requests via Remote request app and kiosk for those who don't have smartphones.

As to books, you don't have to use a tablet. You can use a Wifi enabled laptop that you can get for cheap on Ebay and install a linux based operating system on it. Don't have to hook up to the internet at all with Siglos. Just need a web browser to use the remote request system.

Re: Retired from karaoke itself
File format really doesn't matter. Mp3+g will use the least amount of space on your hard drive but Mp4 will look cleaner. Naming, I would just make sure that you include artist, Song Title and Brand name, just in case you have duplicates. Test them out to see what happens to be the best quality vers...

Re: Wireless mics
Game changer - Bobby Locke has come up with a solution for Covid 19 issues. He has taken his Elephant Ear Receiver and has created a personal pocket mic that hosts can sell to his audience that will won't be germ catchers like our regular mics and since they are buying their own mics, mic drops will...
