Re: Does the perfect software exist
The more bells and whistles the more likelihood of problems. I keep things simple. I use JustKaraoke and it does everything I need to run a karaoke show. It plays filler music, keeps record of venues and singers, and never crashes.

Re: Speaker cables
If you use a cable with a 1/4" on one end and XLR on the other that cable will no longer be balanced so it really doesn't really matter which cable you use.

Re: Just Karaoke Activation
Coulda, shoulda is all fine, but, I was hoping someone had the activation code. I saved it in my email archive but it was on the same computer. We are all in the same boat with this company. A lot of people have the activation code, but they're not going to give it away. Especially since it require...

Re: Just Karaoke Activation
TriceraSoft just disappeared and left all their past customers and business partners hanging. If they ever get back into business I will crusade against them. I'm afraid that the only way you will acquire a registration code is for someone to share theirs with you. Take this as a lesson that you sho...

Re: Newbie here, need some help.
Both of those mixers are overkill for a home system IMO. The Yamaha MG10XU mixer would do an excellent job for less money. The main difference between the woofer size of the speakers will be the bass response you can expect. Those 8" mains will probably be sufficient for your situation. Persona...

Re: Newbie here, need some help.
You need to provide some more information like the budget you're working with, and any equipment you may already have like a Windows laptop you could use as the player for example. Unless you opt for an all-in-one system you are going to need an amp and mixer or powered mixer with passive PA speaker...

I have to wonder why you took the gig to begin with.

I've been hearing good things about the ZEUS 1000-Watt All-In-One Sound System. You can use it to replace your current soundbar with one that will handle live vocals.

I applaud you for continuing to stay active at the age of 92 and for your efforts at bringing joy to others in the nursing home. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with such as finding certain songs for example.

Re: Karaoke styles
There's karaoke with DJ mixed in (like #3) and then there's DJ with karaoke mixed in (like #4). The problem is that some hosts don't know the difference and misrepresent what they actually do. Let me add a #5 to this which for me is the worst of all. This is the KJ who thinks it's his/her job to ent...

Re: I am looking for a Karaoke player to play my backing tracks for an OldTyme Singalong presentation in seniors residen
Wow, it's been so long since I've played a midi karaoke file that I had forgotten that some of them contain the chords along with the lyrics. To answer your question, the chords are all part of the embedded graphics (lyrics) and there is no software player that can remove them. Converting the midi f...

Re: Sunfly track problem
Do you have other song brands that work properly? Are the Sunfly songs in the zip format? Have you tried unzipping them and playing them from the two file format? What player are you using? The more information you provide, the more likely someone could help you.
