I have to admit that this thread is intriguing me, to say the least because of one simple problem that, as far as I can see has been glaringly sidelined! Has any one actually DEFINED what a "rotation" is? Obviously, the first "rotation" starts when the first punter puts his/her n...

Re: Had A Bad Night

People come to sing, not to listen to the owners and employees sing. She insisted. Let me also mention that this was about 10:30 at night ... we were payed through 8. One a positive note ... she did pay us last night with no excuses ... so that was nice. Thank you for allowing me to vent. Now you c...

I've had a search for info on .dat files and found they can usually be opened with pretty much anything. Try opening one of the files with notepad and see if the header shows Title and Singer. If all the files have the information in the same place, I'm sure someone could write a simple program to r...

Yep! Agree with Wiseguy, Re. the media format.

So, given your info. above, the file does have the title details in the file header so what you need, is a program that will read this info and change the filename accordingly.

I'd suggest a Google search for a start.

O.K., so it's a .DAT file.

What program do you use to play them?

Does it show the correct song title and singer when it does play them?

Hi there. As Bigdog says, karaoke file names are "usually" standardised in a specific format, e.g. SF001-01 - Stewart Rod - Sailing.xxx where .xxx is the file extension, .ZIP, .CDG, .MP3, etc. Please be more specific as to the file name structure. If it's a .ZIP file, the internal name(s) ...

Hi everyone.

has there been any update on this songbook software at all?

Seems that I.H. has indeed dropped off the "flat" World.

Certainly, in my experience, virtually no one starts at the front of a book. They all look for the song(s) they already do and just look to see if the KJ actually has it (them). Usually, pens and slips are left beside the books and I put my "Do's & Don't" info on the front cover to at ...

is there any way you can make some kind of instrumental version?
Yep!

Google is your friend.

There are MP3 toolz out there that will remove the vocals (to a certain extent :? ) and leave the music.

That brings up another question. Would you want to hear fake (recorded) applause if there were no real applause? Girlfriend thinks that fake applause is really tacky. It's got to be better than nothing other than the KJ trying to exhort some feedback from the terminally rude or disinterested. If th...

Either way round, it's pretty sad that the audience can't be bothered but unfortunately, that's the name of the game. I find it sad that someone goes up, tries his/her best and gets nowt for the effort, while somebody else goes up and gets wild applause from his/her mates for a mediocre performance....

None of the above.

Winamp plus plugins is free and easy to use.

If I HAD to use a bought package, it'd probably be Sax 'n Dotty's although I detest their PC linked software mode of operation.
