What Do You Wish Was Available on Karaoke?

Can't find a certain song? Maybe someone here can help.

The thing that intrgues me about this thread isn't the number of replies (excellent songs all, BTW) but how many views it's had in a very short time.

Given the 1500+ views, I've got to wonder who all these "viewers" are?

Are they forum members, or just passers by?

They certainly don't seem to post in any numbers.

Looking at the various sections of the forum, it's the same ol' names that show up, time after time.

C'mon people step up and make your presence felt!

It can only make this a better and more informative place to be.

The bottom line on which songs are avaialble on karaoke is the bottom line. Karaoke disc companies want and need to make a return on their investment. Songs that are considered album cuts that don't get major radio play and appear on the "charts" aren't good investments.

Just because you heard it on an alternative radio station or an album doesn't mean it's mainstream.

Unless the actual artist produces their own karaoke disc of their songs, it won't happen.

At the minute, the only song I can't seem to find anywhere is Pandora's Box by OMD (Orchestral Manouvers in the Dark).

If anyone knows of it anywhere, I'd appreciate a head's up.

Hi folks, I know it's been awhile on this thread but oceantracks if your still out there I'ld like to send a shout out for some of the really old songs that I have discovered recently and am running to my play list to see if I have them. Some I have been pleasantly surprised but most are not there. I love jazz and altho most standards are there in some form or another female jazz and blues are lacking. The industry has done well with Diana Krall, Nora Jones, Sade, Even decent on Billy Holiday and some Etta James. But if you'ld like my top ten it would look like this: Any Devil Doll, perferably...Bourbin in your eyes
Irma Thomas.............Hip Shakin mama
Melody Gardot............Your heart is as black as Night
Bonnie Bramlett..........Harlem Nocturn
Sarah Vaughn.............Black Coffee
Irma Thomas..............Don't mess with man
Sheryl Crow................Ordinary women
Diana Krall..................Temptation
Etta James..................Losers, Weepers
Stephanie Nakasian......I told you I love you, Now get out.

Just like me, you seem to have a bit of typing dyslexia 8)

It is, of course, Dinosaur, not dinasour.

It's available for a download at Amazon.com, here;

The karaoke song tracks on Amazon, like this one, are audio tracks only... MP3 not MP3+G. Just in case you didn't realize that.

Well spotted.

I had to go back to Amazon and have a better look. It doesn't actually say it's NOT CD+G but I should have noted the "MP3" download, when it becomes clearer.
