Their lawsuits amount to...If you throw enough mud aginst the wall...some will stick.

Sure they won't win every one...but do they really have to?

Every win gives them slightly more ammo for the next case.

8) Actually the bulk of the lawsuits they have successfully completed have been out of court settlements prior to trial, or default judgements. The few cases that have actually gone to trial such as in Panama City Florida didn't turn out like SC planned. Of the three cases that actually went through the full trial before the judge, two defendants had to pay the full retail value of the product somewhere around $5,000.00 apiece these were venues. The third defendant Bob Playnter was just a regular host with a high school education, SC could not proof it's case against him, since the investigator who was the star witness against him died before the trial. There didn't seem to be any other substantial evidence against him. SC's lawyer James Harrington tried to appeal the verdict and awards, but lost the appeal. It would seems that anytime hosts and venues fight back like here and California SC has a tough time winning. Maybe a few more defeats like this will end all of this nonsense. It won't matter to me since I just have a few more months being a working professional host.
