Behringer B212D vs. B112D

Post by Azirithdorr »

Hey all,

Just curious if anyone has done a side-by-side sound comparison of the older B212D vs. the B112D as they're the same price ( well, within a dollar for the store I'm looking in ). The stats seem... similiar except for 'more' bells and whistles on the 112, plus the website claims the 212 is 550W and the 112 is 1000W ( taken with a grain of salt, but that's the listed wattages ).

It really depends on what it is being used for. If you're doing more than home karaoke then go with the higher wattage but the lower wattage will work just as well in home karaoke situations.

The major differences between the two is that the B112D has an integrated mixer, is wireless ready (Behringer wireless mics only), and a higher power rating. The B212D has a slightly broader frequency range but I doubt enough to be discernible. While you may never use the mixer or wireless capabilities of the B112D series the extra power would make them the best option IMO. You may not need the extra power right now but it's nice to have it anyway. Especially when it doesn't cost any extra.

Exactly - why not, right?
