Mixer with remote control

Post by krassyg »

I need to provide a karaoke solution for a client that will be located outdoors without a TV. The source will be iPhones and iPads. Wireless mics will be Sennheiser Evolution g3 with remote antennas. What mixer should I get for the system? It will be located in a remote rack and needs to have a remote control capability, preferable by an iPad app. All I was able to find was this:

Anything else I should be looking at?

I would think something like the Behringer X Air X18 or the Mackie DL1608 mixers, which are iPad controllable, would be preferable for your purposes.

Thank you, that would work; I'll probably go with this version:

I've never dealt with karaoke before; do I really need a remote control of the mixer? Source will be an iPad or an iPhone; after I adjust the levels on the mixer the client would be able to adjust the source level on the iPad anyway.
