Asking for suggestions for newer karaoke equipment

Post by MSwomensinger »

Hi all, I had a mixer, speakers and other older equipment I used for singing karaoke thru. I sold it all when we moved to a new house and now I want to buy more modern, state of the art equipment that's smaller in size and lighter in weight. I'm not very knowledgeable on this and would really appreciate your suggestions.

I've been looking at a few mixers and below are some suggestions given by the company I called. Here's what I want to get out of the equipment.

I also plan on recording my singing and post on my YouTube channel, so if you can suggest what I might need in order to do that too

Mixer:
-Would like to be able to have lots of voice sound effects.
-Give my voice a rich quality sound, if that makes sense. I love reverb!
-Light weight and small, if possible. I'll only be using 2 corded mics.
-Mostly will be used at home. We have a camper van would like to take places where friends are camping to sing with them, so weight and size matters a lot!
-Able to use with my laptop computer. Operating system is Windows 8
-Plan on downloading karaoke software to the laptop. Suggestions on karaoke software you like would help me out too.

Here's what I found online. What do you think about these?

Peavey PV 10 AT Mixer with Auto-Tune and Bluetooth

Peavey PV 6 BT Mixer with Bluetooth and Effects

Since I want lots of voice control, company suggest this:
Behringer Virtualizer 3D FX2000
https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/FX2000

What smaller, lighter weight 3-way speakers do you suggest? I read 3-way is best, but not sure.

I really would ((very much)) appreciate your experienced expert advice. :D

Take a look at Singtrix. It has some amazing vocal effects.

For home use, singtrix would do fine. Get an active speaker to connect it to. A nice speaker would be an EV ZXA1. If you want a sub they make a sub counterpart to it. Not really cheap but sounds great and plenty of power. I used to have a pair when I was using conventional speakers. If you want light, easy to set up then I would suggest a JBL Eon One. If singtrix is capable of Bluetooth then you don't need to have a cable between the two.
