What do I do with these two files cdg & mp3?

Post by pz1122 »

I really don't know much about this and it seems a little confusing. I downloaded a Karaoke song and I have two files, a CDG and a MP3. They are named exactly the same except for their extensions. I don't want to burn a CD, I just want to make a Karaoke Library on my computer and play the song with the lyics on my computer. What program is good to use? Can i convert the two files to one type so I can just click on one file and have it play? Thanks for the help.

there are a couple of freeware programs out there. KMP is a plyer being promoted on Chartbuster's site. You can download it at www.karaokeware.com for free. They have another version of it but it costs money.
Tricerasoft has a free player too. www.tricerasoft.com is the website that has this program.
KaraFun has a player that plays just about any karaoke file. www.karafun.com

It's 2 files because one is the music and the other is the word sweeps (graphics) file. You need them both.
