CDG TO MP3G CONVERTING PLEASE HELP

This is not the first time I've seen this rumor posted. I have no idea how they get started. I'm sure that some drive producers get pressured by some CDG manufacturers. I got this impression after contacting HP and asking them for a list of their CD writers that support the CD+G format. They replied that NONE of their drives support the CD+G format. We all know that this isn't true. When I contacted Sony with the same question they replied with "Sony is no longer producing CD writers". I guess that's one way to avoid answering my question. Other drive creators that I contacted simply did not reply at all.
