Rockaoke / Bandeoke / Live Band Karaoke

Rockaoke (also known as Bandeoke or live band karaoke) is a unique opportunity for your guests to get on stage and sing with a professional live band

Check this out it's awesome!!!!!

Jimmy Saville would be spinning, if he was dead, at your nom de plume. 8)

Anyway, all very nice but it's basically an open mike night, yes? Presumably with "wannabe" pop singers showing off their talents, song sheets to memorise, no lyric screen, etc.

As such, it doesn't really have anything to do with Karaoke, so perhaps the wrong forum for placing it.

Hope it all goes well for you.

Sandy.
P.S. welcome to the forum. Hope to hear more from you.

I've heard about this but never saw one. The problem is the bands only know about 100 songs. So the selection is very small.

People can't find songs to sing when you have thousands to pick from.

I think this is the only reason live band karaoke will never gain extreme popularity.

I wish people would stop attaching "oke" to words to describe things like this. It doesn't make sense. The word karaoke is Japanese for "empty orchestra". With the "oke' part meaning orchestra the term "bandoke" would mean "band orchestra".

Let's just call it what it is... "singing with the band". It's been around much longer than karaoke.
