Some writers only read the subcode and not write.
You might try converting it to a bin file for burning purposes.

The burner you have should work fine with Power CD+G Burner. This software encodes MP3+G fies to BIN "on the fly" before burning a disc. There are a few things that may be causing your problem.

Normally Windows XP does not need the ASPI layer update (all other versions do) but you might try installing it anyway.

You should check to make sure that your burner's firmware is up to date.

Try changing the settings in Power CD+G Burner to "Use CDRDAO burning engine".

Make sure the CDR media you are using is the DATA type and not those specifically designed for audio recording.

Check to see if the CDG player you are trying to play the burnt disc on supports CDR media as there are some that don't.

If you are using a software player to test the burnt disc, don't assume that your NEC will play them. The NEC ND-3500A drive specs do not state that the drive is CD+G compatible. Note: Nero often falsely reports drives as supporting CD+G.

Thanks for the quick reply
I have tried all the items you have mentioned but still no joy.
My blank cd's are the silver type.
When looking on the cd the tracks are all CDA file xtensions.

All I wanted was to burn onto cd to play in my home dvd player.??

Done all updates also.
Thanks

You can't play CDG's on your home DVD player. You would need to convert the CDG tracks to a video format (AVI or MPG) and then burn these to a DVD disc with the proper software. There are karaoke DVD players that also play CDG discs which may be an easier solution.

You'll be suprised as I have two home dvd players that play cd+g.
One is a dawao which sits in my present show system for discs my customers bring in and the other is an off brand called digix. both play cdg discs. Neither one claims to be able to play cdg discs but they do.
