Ripping and Autonaming

Post by Sabrina59 »

Is there a program that will name the tracks correctly during the ripping process? I'm really getting tired of having to rename all the files from "track01, track02", etc. to the disc number, artist name and song name.

At first glance, Power CD+G burner/Ripper will do exactly what you ask.

I only had a swift look but it seems to be O.K.

I'm using KJ Rip N Zip and it works with KJ Pro song book program.

The only problem is if the songs in KJ Pro are miss named or have typos so will the rips and you will have to go in and correct them anyway.

The answer is yes and no. Name the song tracks yes... correctly no. Either a local database like KJ Pro's (KJ Rip N Zip) or the user created freedb online database (Power CD+G Burner) is referenced and they both contain many errors.

If you want accurate song books you must take the time to name the songs manually.

This is why one should read the manual before using a product!

I have ripped with Power Karaoke ... never knew it could access a database.

Even if there are mistakes in the database, it would still save some typing. As long as a person reviews the track names and compares them with what is on the disc, you should have an accurate finished product.

Thank you very much for the information, guys!!!!
