Have you been skipping your meds? You might want to see a specialist about those paranoid delusions. In the mean time maybe loosening up the band of your tin foil hat might help.

well if half the public believes as big dog does regardless of the evidence we will still see a major drop in karaoke participation. we dont have to convince bigdog for us to stay in business we have to convince our singers. that includes education: never put ur hands on the mic. keep ur mouth off it. what we can do as kjs is disinfect our mics during shows with antiseptic wipes or spray...take our mics apart regularly for cleaning...these tips help fight all viruses from ebola to common cold. as for a remedy to cautious people not showing up at all i just dont know.

The average person does not possess bigdog's level of paranoia. Ebola should not even be a part of everyday conversation in this country. There are THREE cases and all in the same place. The original victim and two hospital staff who did not follow the proper procedures when caring for him. All the people he came in contact with outside the hospital have passed the incubation period of the virus and none have contracted it. Ebola is not near as easy to catch as the flu or a cold. Your singers have a thousands times better chance of being killed by a drunk driver on the way to and from your shows than they do of contracting Ebola. Most rationally thinking people realize this.

The common sense measures you mentioned about taking care of the microphones is something I've done for years. I also put out a pump dispenser of hand sanitizer at my table with a "Please Use This" sign. But you have to realize that more people touch the doorknob to enter the place and the ones on the bathrooms than ever touch a mic.

I'll give you two very good reasons...

#1.... What would the country look like with 375 million people in a panic?

#2.... The democrats will blow the election if the country finds out how inept and how big the lie is about how dangerous Ebola actually is.

If Ebola shows up in my geographic area karaoke will be terminated.

This is going to be the norm in a few weeks if it keeps spreading.... No medical professionals will be there to treat anyone.

Can't blame them either...

They should.....the average person on the street is an idiot more concerned about their favorite sports team and stupid reality shows. That scares me more than Ebola. They think Ebola is our president's last name. The idiots will be the first ones taken by the nonexistent virus. As it should be....the process of natural selection has always insured survival of the fittest. I have cavemen in my family tree.

The country is not made up of 375 million bigdog's so I don't think that mass panic is going to happen. The vast majority of Americans understand that what they are being told is the truth.

LOL!... you think this is politics? The CDC is nonpartisan and it's the scientific community that is informing us of the facts... not the government. If any party should worry about the repercussions of this it should be the GOP. They are the ones who cut funding to programs designed to control outbreaks like this.

You purposely seek out websites and articles that attempt to validate your paranoia. The disclaimer at the bottom of that page you linked to states...

"The information on this website is not medical science or medical advice. This information is not backed up by scientific evidence".

That is just another rumor spreading, fear mongering, website that feeds off paranoid and scared people like you. There are teams of specialists all around the country ready to handle any Ebola cases. There will be no shortage of health care workers.

I think what you should do right now before the Ebola apocalypse strikes is to go gather provisions to last for the next year or so and then board up your windows and doors and don't let anyone in.

The rest of us who think rationally will continue with our everyday lives knowing that we have a thousand times better chance of being struck by lighting twice in the same day as we do of contracting Ebola. Oh shit! Now I just made you afraid of lightning.

Well I have a PHD in karaoke, not ********. If the trained health professionals are afraid I guess I should call them stupid because I'm smarter...

If president Ebola would have put someone guarding the border and halting African travel for a while Ebola would still be in Africa and not Texas.

The official population is 318 million...the rest is the unofficial number including all the illegal aliens that reside here.

What would the world look like with 7 billion people in a panic?

An overwhelming percentage of scientist from around the world, who specialize in communicable diseases, agree that preventing travel to and from these countries would make things much worse. The president is not a scientist and wisely acts on advice from those who know what they're talking about... not on the suggestions of clueless paranoid people like you.

You might want to check you math along with your imagination. Per usual you blow everything out of proportion. The latest estimate of illegal immigrants living in the U.S. is about 12 million... not 57 million.

Luckily the delusional paranoia that you suffer from is not contagious to rationally thinking people so the 7 billion person panic won't occur.

And actually, the crappy economy will kill karaoke way before Ebola kills all the singers.

So what? That is part of the protocol the U.S. is using to prevent the spread of Ebola here. You act like all these people are being taken off planes and placed in isolation tents. Kaci Hickox was the ONLY one that this happened to and she was released in 24 hours. The others simply go home and continue to be monitored for symptoms. The part of this a rational person would be focusing on is that NONE of these people have come down with Ebola and that they are being monitored as a precaution.

You keep saying "government figures" like they are the only ones releasing information. They are not and it would be impossible for them to cover up something like this. Way too many people are involved.
