Amazon Fire Tablet 8"
Is it possible to connect an external microphone to an Amazon Fire Tablet for use with a Karaoke app?
Re: Amazon Fire Tablet 8"
I doubt it, for what purpose, to sing live or record ?
I would think a small mixer would be your best bet.
Or for live sound on a tight budget perhaps this portable PA with its own mixer for mic & tablet: http://www.music-group.com/Categories/B ... 5D/p/P0957
Or for a bit more money this TC Helcion with onboard effects:http://www.tc-helicon.com/en/products/voicesolo-fx150/

Both sing live so she can practice with recordings her music partner has created, and also be able to record the music and her voice mixed together. We have a mixer so that is not a problem. But how to record, that is what I am trying to solve.
We are just learning how to do this. It seems like running a karaoke app on an Android would be a way to do this... to connect a microphone to the android device and be able to mix on the Android device. But that doesn't seem very popular.
Any advice would be most helpful. tx

Re: Amazon Fire Tablet 8"
Mixers usually have a record out connection, just run the mix from that to a recording source.
You might be better of using a computer with Siglos Karaoke Player/Recorder. Try the free trial here: http://www.powerkaraoke.com/src/prod_si ... corder.php

Re: Amazon Fire Tablet 8"
Tx for your reply.
What I am finding is having an Android device that runs a Karaoke app is not as flexible as I thought it might be. Just being able to run a microphone into an Android device is a drill. Then being able to record sounds like one needs one device for output, and one device to record.... oh, and a mixer inbetween.
What I thought be be much more flexible would be to have a single Android device, and being able to play an MP3 file, and record as well. I have little experience in this but am finding things require more pieces to make it work. Ugh.
