You a loyal American are siding with the enemy? You know there is a word for that it starts with a capital T. You won't support so called Socialists like Sanders, Hillary and Obama, but you side with a Russian dictator that used to run the KGB, an organization set up to destroy Western Democracies? First of all the US hasn't fought a war to win since WW2. Korea, Vietnam, Gulf 1 and Gulf 2 were not fought with the intention of winning because we had to be politically correct for the rest of the world because we had to worry about what they would think of us. I remember during Vietnam we couldn't bomb past this line and couldn't follow the enemy into Laos. Same thing happened in Korea and Gulf 1&2.... We always have to worry about collateral damage. Oh what will the rest of the world think about us.... In WW 2 the Germans didn't worry about killing civilians while fire bombing England every night ..when we dropped the atomic bombs on Japan we didn't worry about collateral damage. First of all the world in general was exhausted after WWII. It took years the rebuild Europe, and the rest of the former infrastructure's and economies destroyed during the war. During that time the U.S. saw one of the greatest expansions in wealth and rise in living standards of any country in history. Before and during WWII war could still be waged by armies without the possibility of blowing up all of humanity. With the bomb and more and more countries having the bomb, diplomacy seemed the better way to go. What good does it do to win a war if everyone is dead?

So you are saying if we really want to win a war we kill everyone, just go Medieval on an entire population, men, women, the old, and children, so much for Merry Christmas. Is is weakness or is it using common sense to work things out? Wars are expensive, you never know how they will end, and it is going to cost not only a price in treasure but also in blood that has to be paid by someone. If you remember bigdog the peace treaties for Korea, Vietnam and the Gulf Wars were all overseen by Republican Presidents not Liberals, respectfully Eisenhower Korea, Nixon Vietnam, the Gulf Wars Bush I and Bush II.

The concept for Political Correctness is a basic teaching of Christ which is in all major religions of the world, it's called the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". When we fought WWII it was to preserve the good things not the evil. Yes the Germans did some terrible things so did we so did the Russians and the Japanese, the war was so terrible there hasn't been one since. Since to have another world war would result in the complete destruction of all humanity. Putin is our enemy and should not be treated as a friend period.

Bigdog two wrongs don't make a right. Using children to fight wars is wrong whether it is in Asia, Africa, or the Middle East. Our government put our troops in harm's way to begin with. In the case of Vietnam we broke our promise to the Vietnamese people to settle their own disputes, just like in Korea. We got into the Gulf wars to protect the oil fields of Saudi Arabia, since at that time we were dependent on that source of energy. The reason we didn't go to Baghdad in the first Gulf War was because Bush I knew if we took down the dictator it would cause the country to break up into civil war which has happened. Iraq was seen as a buffer state against Iran, when it was weakened then Iranian influence entered unchecked. We have totally mishandled the Middle East and after a over 15 year war are still deeply mired in that region of the world. I don't think that the resisting of committing war crimes is political correctness just a matter of up holding the principles this country was founded on. If we no longer believe in those principles, tell me what makes us better than any country that commits war crimes?

P.S. Once again those Presidents that made the treaties were all Republicans not Liberal Democrats. So it is the Republican Party that is the party of appeasement. In the case of Iraq that with drawl treaty was drawn up and signed by Bush II, all Obama did was follow through on a treaty commitment by the former administration, that had Congressional Approval.

Today the Electoral College makes it's vote known. Even if Trump wins I think in the long run he and the Republican party lose. With complete control of all 3 branches a possibility, we have to see if unchecked power runs amuck. If the plans to dismantle Medicare and Social Security go forward, and no new jobs are created, the very people who put Trump in office will yank him and his party out in the mid term elections. It is very important for the Republicans to make good if they want to control things for more than 2 years. By the next Presidential cycle the demographics will be too much against them, unless they start expanding their political base.
