How long does it take to figure out that a venue is not going to fit

Post by DanG2006 »

I just walked out of a weekly gig because it wasn't a good fit with me. yeah I know. Adjust to the circumstances but what if those circumstances require a total switch of character that you're not really interested in making. Part of it was it was the second smallest room that I have ever worked in.
No place to put my second speaker in the room that wouldn't create major feedback.
Seating for maybe 10 people at most in the room. No way to place the sound system in the room to allow better reception for my second speaker using my wireless speaker system without compromising my connection to both TVs in the room.

I have to wonder why you took the gig to begin with.

I had done smaller rooms in the past just not thinner.

Probably not on the same room. But the bar area was in the other room and they couldn't hear me announce anything in that room from the single speaker.
