Backup files

I am having trouble copying my Karaoke files from one Ext HD to another. These files are not in a folder. They are just in alphabetic order It keeps stopping when it gets to the "E's". I have plenty of memory left. Must they be in a folder. Help

I'm not a computer guru so ....

But I had a similar problem when trying to copy a drive. It stopped at the same place (file) after several times. My suggestion would be to find out the file that's sticking and remove it from the rest. Either delete it or try to move it somewhere else.

Yep, I had the same problem. It only happened with me with a 'Western Electrical' external hard drive, I have backed up on other makes of drives with no problem. What I did was to split things up a bit, I just did the files starting A to E then the F to J.....and so on until I got 'em all in

That was exactly what I ended up doing, creating folders A,B, C, etc.
