All the goods we use to make here are now made there and shipped back to us to buy.
Without good paying jobs here in this country we can't afford to buy the goods we use to make. Our country has probably lost the most jobs to China & India & Mexico because of corporate greed.
Another point to consider.
The government wanted everyone to start a 401K. Where is all your money now? If the government wants you to do it....it's not in your best interest. I told everyone that when they started them 25 years ago. This was done to ease the burdon on corporate America. No pension costs to worry about...more profit for us. Screw the loyal workers.
They will get their (your) money back somehow. You will never be able to retire using a 401K account. Look at your investments in the 401K since you started. I'm willing to bet that all the money you ever made is gone and the only thing left is the money you yourself put there. The promised money is gone. And it always will be. This losing cycle has repeated itself how many times in 25 years??? Throwing away good money for bad.
It takes the Stock Brokers on Wall Street years of schooling to work there. They learn to make investments to make money. If you have your full time job and are trying to invest your money without the same education..... you are a jerk. They do this full time and can't get it right. How are you going to do it part-part-time (meaning a few minutes a day) and be as smart or smarter than them? AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN, EVER.
Remember the lesson from Katrina...Don't depend on the government to save you. Do you think they want you to retire? Do you think they care? You pay more taxes working. You cost Medicare more money if you don't work.
The days of a good reliable steady job are over...Lost to corporate greed. They died with my father and that generation. The party is over...you will work in a meaningless small paying job til you die. It's what your government wants. Rich get richer...you fall over and die of old age from being worked to death...poor.
