This has been a subject of great debate. In my area KJs that play dance sets lose singers. Karaoke is about attracting singers. I do all karaoke without filler music or dance sets.

My personal opinion is the KJs that play dance sets are killing karaoke.

Not a big fan of playing dance sets but I use the filler player in my karaoke software for filler music. Like Bigdog I feel it takes away from the singers.
