Laptop / kam kka400 interference

Post by barneyboy »

Hi

I hppe someone can shed some light on my problem, I run karaoke from my lap top, last year I had no problems using a Carlsberg Merlin amp and a ka500 vocal controller, this year I brought a kam kka 400 combined karaoke amp etc, when I use it from the laptop running off the laptop battery no problem, as soon as I conect the laptop to the power supply, the interference is dreadful. anyone have ANY suggestions for me
Many thanks

Barney

You need a ground loop isolator maybe or outside usb sound card.

For the audio use this.

For the video use this one. May as well buy it and use it all the time because you never know which job you will need it. Mine are hooked up all the time.

That won't always help because the bar TV you hook up to may be on a different circuit. I have played places that needed the ground loop isolator and some that didn't. But you never know when and where you will need it. If it's your first night at the job and you need it and don't have it, you're screwed.
