He also attends a bar across the street from where I play so I get updates on their crowds and KJs.
He told me a story tonight that curled my hair.
First the KJ/Name That Tune night was cancelled for no reason. He claims the crowds were pretty good for that. He doesn't understand why it was cancelled. He may find out at a later date.
Second, he talked to the bar owner about the crappy KJ on another night and asked him why he didn't stay with the last Karaoke company...??? They had a better sounding system.
Here it comes....
He said he is SAVING $250 a night with this KJ over the other company.
Where the Hell am I going wrong???

I'm pretty sure that company has illegal stuff.
He told me they charge franchises a corporate rate that is higher than a privately owner bar. That rate has to be around $400-450 a night....Just my guess.
Or the other KJ is dirt cheap. Like working for food...cheap.
