What format to Rip too?

Post by jvidso »

I am converting disc to computer ripping with Power CD+G ripper. It ask What format to rip to. BIN, CDG+MP3,CDG=WAV OR ZIP. I plan to use an external drive for storage and at this time trying a demo copy of Compuhost. What is my best option.
Thanks

You will want to rip to MP3+CDG typically referred to as MP3+G. Virtually all hosting software applications can import this format.

I rip to zip. Force of habit. Compuhost user right here.
Does not matter to Compuhost which format but you got to tell Compuhost if you're using zipped files or not.

Which is the most widely accepted karaoke format? I'd rip to that.

I would think that MP3+G zipped is the most widely used format.

Thanks guy,s

I have been ripping in zip, but my power karaoke rips are not working with compuhost. The sales rep with compuhost said there may be a way to convert the files. The fast tracks cd rip which I already had is slower and does not have instant track detection plus I aready have most of the discs loaded through PK. Any suggestions
Thanks

I use cdgrip first. Then if it doesn't take I will use powerkaraoke, especially for mediacloq discs.
