Hey just wanted to post an update! 8)

I decided on the API A-801 (600w), 2x Yamaha BR12's, and a pair of API rechargeable mics that I got a good deal on. The system sounds kinda ridiculous haha. I'm pretty sure we can wake the dead with this setup and it sounds pretty good.

I'm planning to upgrade to a pair of Shure mics in the future, but for now the API rechargeables will meet the needs of the GF. I also decided on that API 801 based on it being built in Japan, it had the best controls, and it accepted 1/4" connections for both the mics and speakers.

I know the Yamaha powered mixer would have been pretty bad@ass, but in my case I needed an item that could fit in a cabinet with the rest of my receiver/blu ray/cable systems. It's quite nice!!

Here is a picture of the setup.

Thanks for all the insight and help!!
