Since Sound Choice and Chartbuster have gone out of business have the lawsuits ended?

These were clearly an act of desperation in an attempt to raise some capital in there death spiral survival attempt.

I had several different people tell me that in the last few months...

Did they stop producing songs?

I don't think they are producing any new songs but they are still selling the GEM series. They still have their store online http://www.soundchoicestore.com

And does the store close once they've sold all the copies of the songs they are legally allowed to sell as per their purchase agreements...I mean I wouldn't want to buy any illegal songs from SOUND CHOICE...Les I get sued for doing it. It could be a trap...

I don't know but they are expanding the Gem series by 1 emerald and 2 sapphires in March so I don't consider that going out of business.

SC has another copyright suit filed against them. 160 songs without proper licensing. Think they can handle damages in the tens of millions?

I don't see why SC was named when obviously KTS illegally loaded their machines with SC product. I see no eveidence of wrong doing by SC just lists of songs loaded on KTS's machines that should not have been.

Oh my...I hope I don't have any of those questionably illegal songs in my possession...

Did they actually name any of the illegal tracks?

See this is exactly what I just talked about in my other thread....about who owns what and what permissions are needed..

If this holds up in court we are all involved in illegal activity because we may have bought these songs...

Those 160 songs are in the GEM series, too.

If they are found GUILTY...

In a surprise move today thousands of KJs and home users.. filed a class action suit against Sound Choice for illegally selling them copyrighted music for which they had no permission to sell. The KJs are seeking $150,000 per song... The settlement could be in the millions....

Who's in...

And what happens to all the suckers that were verified and purchased the GEM series on a hard drive and paid all that money...to SC

Just saying...

They are guilty of participating a pirating operation and receiving stolen goods..

Makes me wonder if Digitrax is in the up and up. They claim to have EMI onboard. What's the difference between them and SC?
