There was a Music video for Charlene's 'Never Been to Me' released purely for Karaoke machines............it wasn't an official video. (I don't think the song had an official video)

It was designed in the same style as Todd Haynes Superstar : Karen Carpenter Story : It featured Barbie dolls in stop motion animation.
Quite clever........ I can't seem to find it anywhere. I did a GOOGLE and apparently it was one of the Pioneer Lazer Disk Videos (Pioneer - 8-B-2 - I've Never Been To Me - Charlene)

Does anybody know if this is available online or even remember it?

You can find the original laser disc on eBay like this one

The problem is finding a 12" laser disc player to play it or allow you to rip it from the disc.

Thanks Wiseguy too. I'd have no idea how to transfer it and wouldn't have a player to play it...

I did e-mail that website but I notice it hasn't been updated since 2010 which isn't a good sign and also the admin in is business hosting Karaoke events and user her collection for this purpose. I doubt she will give out the video or upload it online. I have asked politely though if this would be possible.......

Actually, if you just search eBay for Pioneer Laser Disc, you'll get quite a few hits for players as well.

After that, there are plenty of convertors that will happily take the video output and convert to AVI, etc.

Pioneer made the first 25 lasers into DVDs if you can find them...

I put out about 10 players for the garbage last year...

The cheesy dancing barbie doll chorus shows up in the BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY VCD as well...I always run that track when I have a bunch of drunk singers wanting to rock that song. Its not too horrible and it has guide vocals. Much humorousness. };=D
