hi
Is there any software that will play mp3 and cdg files that will also let you plug a microphone into my pc and allow me to sing along with it also

You can use WinAmp and the CDG plugin to play the songs and then just use your sound card and PC microphone controls to sing along. More info on the mic controls can be found at http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,929966,00.asp

You can also use the Karaoke database and songbook generator available as shareware at http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.htm ... search.y=4 This software is not only a player but organizes all your disks into a database and will print song books etc.

look into RoxBox at www.kjamp.com as it has everything you need to be a kj/dj. A ripper that will let your name your songs, encode and zip them. A songbook software that will allow you to make your books, and a rotation manager that will allow you to host your show. it even has a singer history to make starting your show with your regulars.

Latest addition is the SCDG and NCDG convertors to RoxBox
