Reliable external burner.

I am having a problem burning disc on my 4 year old HP Laptop. The latest disk I am using are Verbatim CD-R discs 700mb 52 x 80mn. I use the Disk at once mode and the Session at once mode all at x1 and not one disk out of the 10pac that I bought will burn they all come out UN
I can tell you that the 6 out of 25 that I burned were Verbatim CD-R disc but I have labels on them so the info on the disk is not readable. One problem is that Verbatim makes so many different data and music disc.

Someone mentioned that it might be my internal burner so I am looking for a reliable but not to expensive (under $100?) external burner that plugs into a USB port.

Try a DVD writer from Walmart. That's where I got mine. Made by lg.
