Karaoke Systems For Home Use

A home karaoke system is great for livening up parties or simply practicing new songs before you go out to your favorite karaoke spot. The system you need depends on what you will be using it for. Does it need to be powerful enough to be heard in a large room of noisy guests? Does it need to be easily portable? Will you just use it to practice songs? Too much of a system would be a waste of money while an underpowered system may be practically useless.

Component System
This may be your best choice if you already have a good home stereo system and you don't need a portable unit. You can simply add a karaoke player as another component to your system. Add a couple wired mics and an RF modulatorFor color TVs that do not have an RCA video input jack. (allows the graphics to be displayed on a standard color TV) and you're all set. Most models of karaoke players are fine for home use. You will want one that has a digital key controlAllows for the up or down adjustment of the key of the music without changing the tempo. and separate volume controls for the microphones. Here is a good listing of karaoke players.
