UK top 40 singles chart this week. THIRTEEN Michael Jackson + Jackson 5, including the number one "Man in the Mirror". If it all keeps going like this, I reckon he'll achieve a record that will never be equalled, again for songs in the top 10. I wouldn't be surprised if all top 5 spots wer...

The plugin will work with any drive that is CD+G compatible. The problem is that all CD/DVD drives aren't CD+G compatible! ALL Plextor drives and most Sony's are CD+G capable. If you have Nero on your PC, search the folder for Neroinfotool.exe If you don't have Nero, browse and download Neroinfotool...

The common Winamp CDG plugin does not allow you to play CDG discs. Depends what you mean by "common", I guess CD+G disc plugin; http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details/147664 MP3+G plugin; http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details/100775 Pacemaker plugin; http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details/1...

As said before, it sounds like you've been talking to someone who is Technology challenged. ALL firewalls have a means of allowing programs to access the web but I'd be very surprised, indeed, if you would be allowed to use your work laptop for an external entertainment system. Given that most firew...

Winamp will play your stuff, no problem and it's totally free. You'll just need the Karaoke and Pacemaker plugins from the Winamp website and off you pop. One thing to note, however is that the plugins perform better on slightly older versions of winamp that don't have all the "bells and whistl...

Probably a bit smaller than you would like but have you thought about a scrollable LED sign?

You can get them with 6" high letters, at a price, I believe.

You can program them to say pretty much anything you like and they're in full RGB colour, now.

I operate a strict "3 strikes and you're out" policy and if I'm running over time, it's in words of stone. You shouted for her twice and she wasn't there! Tough luck, I'm afraid. Is she so dense that she didn't understand the lateness of the hour, or that YOU were generous in allowing the ...

This is where I'm going to start a big controversy. My average settings do not change from room to room. Since doing my initial EQ set up and making adjustments early on at each room, I still ended up with average settings. So I never adjust anything but the volume and reverb settings during any sh...

I'm sitting here, wondering how old most of you guys (and gals) are? I'm old enough to remember the 60's and 70's and most of the bands that played were either drunk, stoned or both. Some of them must have been able to handle the booze, as they're still on the go. I wonder where all the&qu...

Have to be honest here! When I first started to KJ, about 12 - 15 years ago, It wasn't as a job. My local was in an old Jute Mill that was a Snooker hall but with a couple of Bars in the building and they had a female KJ there Friday and Saturday night. She was on from 8 'till Midnight, when the Bar...

From a purely electronics point of view and I should mention that I work in electronics and have been an electronics hobbyist for over 30 years, you would need to set up each venue, on an individual basis. Thai has already been mentioned in the posts above and is absolutely correct. Theoretically, y...

Technically the smokers must not smoke in any public area. That makes the patios and decks off limits to them. They are supposed to be 30 feet away from any enterance. And they must not congregate, because technically that gathering makes it a public place. These laws are full of Catch 22 elements....
