Had that happen at only one place. As it was a fill in for a buddy of mine, I basically had no choice but to allow it to happen if I want to keep filling in. Hasn't happened since as I haven't filled in for them since. As to how I run my rotation, the only time I would bump singers ahead is if I am ...

you probably need to copy them to hard drive first using cdrwin or if you have microstudio then you can test it out with that straight from the disc. I'm partial to microstudio due to that feature. Even though for running shows on computer I prefer RoxBox.

Not a big fan of cavs. get yourself a pioneer twin tray as it is the most reliable.
Had one last 9 years before I upgraded to digital. now I have a cheap dvd player to play customer's discs. have yet to use it as I pretty much have everything that is available on karaoke.

I won't do any contests as it only brings in people for the duration of the contest and when the contest ends, all you are left with are ticked off regulars that didn't get to sing as much due to the contest. Give aways yes. Contests no.

I give you one more thing the extreme costs of the discs may also affect the muscians pocket as there won't be enough money to go towards the real music.

there has been several attempts to take various companies to court for copying songs onto a cavs jukebox and failed to win. So I guess that answers whether we can protect our investments or not.
